Preserving Tradition, Protecting Yields: Empowering Organic Pest Control in Tanzania

Tanzania Nature’s Pride (TNP) is on a mission to empower local communities and safeguard Tanzania’s agricultural future. Our proposal focuses on enhancing traditional organic pest control methods used by farmers.

The Challenge: Chemical pesticides, while effective, pose significant threats:

Health hazards: Exposure to harmful chemicals can endanger farmers and consumers.
Environmental damage: Chemical runoff pollutes water sources and disrupts ecosystems.
Cost burden: Many small-scale farmers struggle to afford chemical pesticides.

Our Solution: TNP proposes a two-pronged approach:

Research and Development: We will collaborate with local farmers to identify and document their existing organic pest control methods. Scientific research will then be conducted to improve upon these traditional techniques, enhancing their effectiveness and scalability.
